What Does Pain And Tightness In Right Knee With History Of A Fall Suggest?

Hello. I have been having problems with my right knee for the past 3 months or so. I don t have health insurance (FL resident below well below poverty $ income level). Was able to see a Nurse practitioner and get an X-ray which did not show any bone damage or arthritis. The backround story: I fell on my knee mt biking on Oct 1st of 2014, very hard fall, felt nauseous and very dizzy. The impact was on the front and medial aspect of my right knee. I was able to ice the area within 10 minutes of the fall, and took a prescription dose (800mg) of ibuprofen. My knee did not swell up, there was some very slight discoloration on the medial aspect the next day. I was able to continue riding/hiking (I was on a trip out west) with no pain, limited rom, instability or anything. The only after effect was severe pain when I touched a very specific spot on the medial part of my patella. Extremely painful and it lasted for 5-10 seconds. That got better over the next few weeks to where it was almost pain free by November. Around November 10th I was doing some work on my knees and my knee swelled up to what was a baseball sized fluid like lump. Again, no pain, instability, weakness, or any other symptom, I could even touch it anywhere with no pain. After 3 months the swelling has gone down to about 10% of what it was at it s worst (it got to softball size in December, after 2 cycles of going down and swelling up again). Like i said, x-ray showed nothing. I have been very limited in my activities to try and keep from interfering with the healing process. Now the only symptom I have is that the knee tightens up after standing for a period of time (30+ minutes). It is never tight in the morning, or when getting up from a seated position. And I can stretch out the tightness. A couple different friends (a physical therapise and a chiropractor) have not been able to give a confident diagnosis, but the favorite is prepatellar bursitis. Any thoughts or recommendations for helping things along? Thanks for your time.
