What Does Pain Around The Left Ankle Indicate?

64 year old male. I woke up yesterday with a small pain on the outside and underneath the ankle bone of my left foot. It only hurt when I turned a certain way while walking. Today I can t even put my weight on it. No trauma, no past injuries there. Just woke up with it.
