What Does Pain Behind The Left Eye Indicate?

I have pain off and on just behind my left eye for the last 2 weeks. Some bought of nausea over those two weeks also. This morning I awoke with pain in the eyeball itself and very severe bloodshot all around in the white area 360 degrees. Doesn t seem like an eye infection but something behind the eye. Tonight a small bit of puss forming in the corner closest to my nose. Pain returns as I blink. I have an appointment set for Friday (in 40 hours) with my Primary Care Physician but wasn t sure if an emergency room might be better idea tonight. What do you think?

it can be dacrocystitis and obstruction of nasolacrimal duct punctal dialatation and syringing can be done. it can be with metheline blue dye and x-ray token to locate point of block. dacrocysto rhinostomy can be done apply ofloxacin .3%eye drop 6 hourly and apply neosporine eye ointment in lid margin.
