Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
2 days ago I experienced a sudden onset of stabbing pain about 2 inches below and just to the right of my belly button. I had been sitting and went into the kitchen, nothing out of the ordinary. I could precisely pinpoint the pain. It did not go to my back. There was no flank pain. Just like something had been jabbed into me and hurt just inside. It lasted about 3-4 minutes and suddenly stopped. It never happened again. This evening (48 hours later), I noticed my urine is milky, and has stayed milky the last 6 hours. I m not sure if it was milky before I noticed it. I have very very mild cramping pain in my entire lower abdomen, but I have that pain most of the time for the last year. Kind of a constipated pain. I m not sure if any of these symptoms are related. Any insight would be great! Thank you!
Hello there I have read through your question and understand your concern. Pain in abdomen along with milky Urine indicate s urinary tract infection. An Urine culture will help in diagnosis. It will also help to decide which antibiotic to be prescribed to you depending on the organism obtained on urine culture. Since you are suffering from chronic abdominal pain since one year it is advisable to get an USG abdomen done to rule out stones in the urinary tract. Meanwhile you should drink lots of water. Also drink lots of cranberry juice as it will help to reduce the infection. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
