General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

There are a couple of conditions that may cause the pain on the right side. A very common one is muscular pain. This should be better with Paracetamol and ibuprofen and local warm compresses.

If you notice no improvement after taking both Paracetamol and Ibuprofen or you notice any worsening you will need to have an ultrasound of the abdomen to examine your gallbladder as it is in the right side under the rib cage and can cause similar pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
