What Does Pain Between The Chest And Left Shoulder Indicate?

I have been having an intermittent pain between my heart and left shoulder a few inches below my collarbone. No pain in the left arm or directly over my heart or other symptoms. No apparent muscle strains or anything. It was noticeable to wake me a couple nights ago, and it comes and goes. suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Thank you for trusting HCM

With the pain you are describing it is important to rule out coronary artery disease, especially if you have positive family history, history of hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia.
Please be advised to follow up with the emergency room to get an EKG done.

Hope this answers your questions
