What Does Pain In Lungs Indicate While Trying To Stop Smoking?

Hi, i'm 29 years old of normally good health. I am trying to give up smoking and for the past month have suffered from pains in my lungs changing from left to right side, on different days and times and needle type stabbing ad pulling type pain in my heart. What could this be? Thank you.

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Noted you have smoking habit....
Because of that you might have some respiratory disease that can lead chest pain....

Here bronchitis ruled out first by chest x ray...
It will also help in rule out if any interstitial fibrosing lung disease if present....
As smoking release elastase there are also chance of emphysema like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease...
Spirometry for pulmonary function test also done for differentiating restrictive and obstructive lung disease....

According to cause treatment done....

For smoking avoidence you can attend rehabilitation clinic ....
