What Does Pain In The Back And Left Arm Indicate?

I slept funny last Friday and woke up with a pain in my back on the left side and when I move my neck, the pain goes down my left arm. I believe this may be a pinched nerve. I have tried pain relievers, heat and cold and nothing seems to help. It is now Monday and as long as I do not move the back, neck and arm, there is little pain other than a dull ache.

Possible causes are:-

1. Heart attack.
2. Angina.
3. Bursitis.
4. Rotator cuff tear.
5. Tendinitis.
6. Sprains and strains.

Tests to be done:-

1. Electrocardiogram (EKG).
2. X-ray.
3. CT scans.
4. MRI.
