What Does Pain In The Chest And Left Hand Indicate?

My father is 57 yr old. Cabg has been done in 2009, stenting done in Dec 2015 and again in June 2017. Though he is facing pain again in hia heart, shoulder and left hand. If he is using stairs or taking a bath, then he feels the pain. Sometimes I have to give him a sorbitrate to lower down the pain.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there I have read through your question and would like to tell you that it seems your father is experiencing anginal pain. Pain in the left side of heart and left hand aggravated by exertion and relieved by taking sorbitrate indicate s towards angina. Since your father has already undergone cabg it is advisable that you should get him reviewed by his cardiologist. He may be required to undergo an angiogram to check the patency of his stents. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
