What Does Pain In The Chest And Neck Indicate?

Hi, I developed a pain in the front of my neck and chest all of the sudden. It hurts to put my head back, move my head from side to side and swallow. I can also hear slight crackling sounds in my ears and neck. This happened within minutes of me sitting down. What can be the cause of this, and at what point should i consider seeking medical help?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Sudden onset neck and chest pain is commonly seen with muscular spasm.
So apply warm water pad on affected areas of chest and neck. Take painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs like Ibuprofen and Thiocolchicoside. Take calcium and vitamin d 3 supplements for faster relief.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
