What Does Pain In The Clitoris Indicate?

So yesterday I noticed a burning pain on my clitoris, i examined it and noticed a small lesion I figured it came from my weekend extravaganza with my boyfriend and would begin to heal if i let it be and air out, so i wore no panties and went to bed but today my entire hood to my pelvic area is red and swollen. I have no abnormal discharge or anything. I m using bacitracin on it currently but it doesn t seem to be helping any suggestions? I also don t have a family doctor and I m not sure where I can go to get it looked it, I d love to avoid the ER but if I have to go I will. PLEASE HELP.

Hello,

If there are blisters in the area, like small vesicles with water inside similar to the ones we get in the lips (herpes) you might be having genital herpes and in this case it is good to see a doctor and start antiviral treatment within 72 hours from the start of symptoms for better effect.

If there are no blisters (water filled vesicles) then you can try a combination of an antifungal (miconazole) cream and mild steroid (hydrocortisone) cream thin layer on the area (can be used together). If no improvement in 3-4 days or if you notice any worsening you will need to see a doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
