Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a healthy 78 yr old. I see my doctor for my wellness visit every year. Recently I have developed a pain in what I think is my hip bone. It come from the middle of my bone in the back and radiates to the front. I have not told my dr this...yet. Could it be arthritis?
The pain you feel in your hip bone could be due to arthritis. However, I advise to tell this to your doctor as might need to run a few tests at your age (78): - x-ray of hip bone and joint - vit d and calcium levels - Dexa (bone density test)
Wish fast recovery.
