What Does Pain In The Lower Abdomen On The Left Side Indicate?

I am experiencing like a gas pocket or bubble sometimes the size of a golf ball in my lower left abdomen . Seems to come with stress, for when I am away from stress it can be totally gone with no symptoms. When it comes it comes with pain . It is relieved with bowel movements and I can press on it and it seems to release gas.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

What you describe seems to be some form of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, which is a condition where your bowel movement is hugely affected by your nervous system. This can cause constipation or diarrhea, abdominal gases and bloating, which become normal after the stressor is removed.
So I would just recommend you to drink water as much as you can, and eat healthy. But if these symptoms persist, then you need to see a therapist and talk about your stressor and the different ways to deal with it.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
