What Does Pain In The Lower Abdomen On The Left Side Indicate?

My dog jumped over the couch onto my abdomen on the lower left side and now it hurts after eating. There is no bleeding, I m not bruised and it s not sore but I get super gassy and it bothers me after eating. Do you have any idea what could have happened when she jumped on me??

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You have gas problem and pain after eating. It can be musculoskeletal pain as your dog jumped on your abdomen. Secondly, rule out any underlying organic cause if present by USG abdomen investigation.

If no any specific cause found and gas is functional then include more fiber in your diet. Drink more water and fruit juice, avoid sedentary lifestyle, restrict carbonated drink.

Digene like tablets can be useful in gas. If muscular pain is present then anti-inflammatory drug may be prescribed. Consult physician for examination and accordingly get investigated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
