What Does Pain In The Lower Back And Thighs Indicate?

Why, for the past month or so, is it painful in my lower back and the back of my upper thighs when I wake from sleeping and try to get out of bed? I have to (painfully) roll onto my back, gently raise and extend each let to be able to sit up and get off the bed. I use a walker to get to the bathroom and the stiffness and pain diminsh as I move around the house (making coffee, using computer).

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can take Aceclofenac and paracetamol tab twice a day for 5 days. You can take Rabeprazole tab twice a day for 5 days. Apply Diclofenac spray on affected site. Apply warm water bag on affected site. If not resolved then consult your orthopedic surgeon, do xray of affected part, do physiotherapy, it is also helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
