What Does Pain In The Lower Back Indicate?

I have been having back pain on the lower left recently every morning that seems to be getting worse. I have had IBS for 40 years which used to be with diarrhea but in the past four years has changed to constipation with lots of gas. After I go to the bathroom it feels better. I figure it s related to IBS but I don t know what other body parts are down there.
