Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your history and description, a possibility of viral upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) (flu) is more likely.
Do following things for better symptomatic relief in viral infection.
1. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated. 2. Along with Advil, also take anti-histamine like Levocetirizine or Fexofenadine. 3. Do warm water gargles and steam inhalation 4 to 5 times a day. 4. Continue taking honey and lemon.
Do not worry, you will be alright in 4 to 5 days, by taking the above treatment measures.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar
