What Does Pain In The Ribcage On The Left Side Indicate?

which side of my body is my liver? and are there glands under the bottom jaw line? why I m asking is because I did have Hep c however before my dad past in July he paid for the Harvoni tx in 2015 in June, july and August and now I am clear. I get pains on my left sig around the area right above and around the left rib cage. Also I have a sore spot on the right side but not the left side under the bone of my jaw bone. I have been a smoker for years, really trying to quit because I was told 6 months ago that I have to start of COPD in upper left lobe in the back. I started having drinks every night sinc he died and started to smoke again then too. He was my hero. My mom is aging super fast now and I want to bring her back to me, Thank You Jean Coley

Smoking can lead to multiple problems ranging from COPD to various cancers. It is best to quit smoking. Liver is present on right side of upper abdomen. Salivary glands are present under jaw bone. Pain on left side of chest could be due to disease in respiratory tract, cardiac ailment and / or pleural disease.
