What Does Pain In The Ribs On The Right Side Indicate?

Good Afternoon, I woke up this morning with a dull pain on my right side near ribs with stomach grueling and hunger pains. Then after I ate breakfast of yogurt is went away for 1 hour to only return again . Same thing after eating lunch. Pain is 1-2 with lots of gas.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Thanks for the query.
I understand your concern.

You have excessive gas with pain under right rib cage. It could be because of indigestion
- Overeating or digestive deficiency
- Having gas under diaphragm &pain
- Gastritis causing over gas production
- Probably due to gall bladder problem causing pain

You can take digestive enzyme preparation over the counter. Eat multiple small servings of food after 3 hours .
Start having exercises (abdominal&walking) routinely.
Consult a gastroenterologist if no relief

Thanks

Regards
