What Does Pain In The Scrotum Indicate?

Hi doctor recently been experiencing mild pain in my scrotum, my scrotum drops and comes back into shape again, its like they contract. Is this normal? I have been going for a urine test for 3 times now, my results are as fellows; pus cells 2-3, epith cells 4-5. I was told i had a bacterial infection, and this is the third time now, it keeps on reoccurring. What could be the problem, especially the pain my scrotum?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, apart from injury to the scrotum and testicular twisting, the other reasons of the scrotal pain are trivial. In your case the on and off pain might be due to a colic of the spermatic cord with in due to either loose or tight under pants. the movement of the testicles going up and down is usual and normal. Try to support your scrotal sac with good support by the under pants and an antispasmodic to relieve the pain. The urine report which you have mentioned is normal. so no need of antibiotics. If you suspect any then send your urine sample for culture and look for any growth for further confirmation. Thank you
