Pain in upper abdomen under rib cage that sometimes radiates to back same area that started on the last day of taking a six day course of prednisone and Bactrim for sinus allergy. No pain when lying done or when sitting still, only when moving. Temperature perfect and no other symptoms. Sometime eating helps sometimes not depending on what is eaten. Bananas and bread no problem. Had this before about every five years, ultrasound in past revealed nothing. Tylenol cuts pain. Prior to Prednisone took advil for sciatica but only a couple per day for two weeks. Prednisone caused panic attacks, vision problems, insomnia. In past ultrasound showed no gallstones but was not as intense as this episode following the steroid and antibiotic. My guess is inflamed gallbladder or duodenal ulcer. Blood tests prior to prednisone were perfect. Started on doxyclicline prior to bactrim but had problems with the tetracycline class of antibiotics.
