What Does Pain In The Upper Leg Indicate?

I have mild pain in the upper inner leg that is more uncomfortable when standing. The area is not red and does not appear to be swollen. It does not hurt to tough the area which makes me think it s not muscle. I thought at first it may be a swollen hemroid, but I am having regular bums and not pain when going. At times, the pain seems to migrate into my lower, right glute.
