What Does Pain In The Uterus During Pregnancy Indicate?

I am 29 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. I have been having really bad pain at the very top of my uterus, it feels like I am being stabbed and it makes it difficult to stand up straight. The pain that s for about 10 minutes and then goes away. It usually happens after I have been standing or walking for a long time. What could it be? I have never experienced this before.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a gynaecologist at the earliest and get evaluated. We have to rule out possible causes like early contractions. An ultrasound is required to rule out fetal distress.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
