What Does Pain In Wrist And Fingers With Swollen Thumb Mean?

for the last four days my wrist has been hurting a little more each day that goes by now today i have so much pain i can't even make a fist let alone pull my underwear up without lots of pain it hurts even if i rest it on a pillow it is the top part of my wrist not the bottom my fingers don't hurt but if i try to make a fist my top of my wrist and now my thumb the fatty part hurt it's like going in stages can you help
