What Does Pain On The Left Side Of The Rib Cage Indicate?

Went to er 5 days ago - pain in left side near bribing cage. X-ray showed a mass - diagnosed with pneumonia. Given muscle relaxer and 4 days of antibiotics. Yesterday went to doctor - pain still present - given more antibiotics. Pain still present - like sore, burning stuffy pain. Can t sleep. No energy.
