What Does Pain Radiating From The Neck To The Left Shoulder Indicate?
Neck pain radiating into left shoulder which goes into left arm. I ve been experiencing numbness in both hands now to the point at which I can t do anything with them. I ve got D.X. Of spondyloarthropothy, spinal stenosis, herniations at l2-l3,l3-l4,l5-s1 with thecal sac impingement. I keep headaches in the back of my head that never go away. Not really sure what all of this is.
"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -
1)For pain discuss with your Doctor about [naproxen] and oral steroid [prednisone]
2)Talk to your physio to make a regular exercise plan and use traction.
3)If no improvement from conservative treatment then you can discuss with your treating doctor about surgical options for decompression.
Do take preventive measures like this-
1)Try to do regular walking. Maintaining activity will help speed recovery, even if you have to temporarily modify some of your exercises because of neck pain.
2)Apply heat or ice. Applying heat or ice to your neck can ease sore neck muscles.
3)Soft neck brace. The brace allows your neck muscles to rest. However, a neck brace should be worn for only short periods of time because it can eventually weaken neck muscles.
Hope that helps
