What Does Pain Under The Breast On The Left Side Indicate?

Hello. My husband is experience\ing pain on his left side above his stomach under his breast - usually when he eats, and it has escalated tonight. He has had diverticulitis in the past. I am concerned this is more than the stomach ache he thinks it is. Thoughts?

It sounds like he may be having reflux. Since it happens more after meals. However, if he has risks for heart disease he should definitely see his doctor for an evaluation and some testing.
