Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For about 2 weeks, I have had a pain under my left breast. I feel it more when I need to turn over when sleeping, and if I need to cough. I find that I need to hold the area to ease the pain. Tylenol does not help. It almost feels like something is twisted...like when you rolled Play-Do and it flopped around.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Does the pain increase during or before your periods? It could either be a pain in your muscle (pectoralis) or fibrocystic breast disease.
If you haven't gotten your breast examined by a clinician recently, that may be a good idea. Based on his findings, he could prescribe you evening primrose oil in case of fibrocystic disease or a muscle relaxant.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan
