What Does Pain Under The Navel On The Right Side Indicate?

I went to the ER and they couldn t definitively give me an answer as to what I have. The Dr said he thought i may have a spastic colon. I have a large bulge on my right side (much smaller on left) and pain on my rgt side from under my belly button to the right side of my spine. The pain came on gradually but has increased and persisted for about a week now. Dr gave me some muscle relaxer which helps but doesn t alleviate. No blood in stool, CT scan normal, blood test normal, ultra-sound normal. No diarehea, or nausea. Any ideas??

Hi,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

First of all, no need to worry for major abdominal pathology as your CT, ultrasound examination of abdomen are normal. Colon spasm can cause similar kind of pain and swelling. So better to take muscle relaxants, apply warm water pad on affected areas of abdomen. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Take care.
