What Does Pain Under The Rib Cage Indicate?

for some time now, everytime I eat I have to have a bowel movement 5 mins later. Today I notice it has a smell of Perm Solution. I have had intermitten pains in the area under my rib cage at the end of where it connects, at times it feels as if I have very bad gas and cannot get comfortable. my urine is a normal pale color ( I drink lots of water) and my stool has been different colors depending on what I eat. If I eat lots of veggies it shows. Certain foods I have noticed like raw onions or spicy I get severe gas pains prior to having a bowl movement. I do take Prilosec OTC 20-40MG s atleast every other day for gurd.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
In most cases, treatment of gallstones is considered necessary only if you are having symptoms. Of the various conventional treatments that are available, surgical removal of the gallbladder is the most widely used. Some alternative treatments have also been found to be effective in alleviating the symptoms of troublesome gallstones.
When deciding what course of action to take for symptomatic gallstones, doctors usually choose from among three main treatment options: Watchful waiting, nonsurgical therapy, and surgical removal of the gallbladder.
Though a gallstone episode can be extremely painful or frightening, almost a third to half of all people who experience an attack never have a recurrence. In some cases, the stone dissolves or becomes dislodged and thereby resumes its "silence." Because the problem may solve itself without intervention, many doctors take a wait-and-see approach following the initial episode.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
