Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I’ve been having some bowl issues. Now I’m having some sharp shooting pains every once in a while. Best way I can describe is like a quick shocking pain that comes and goes really fast. I never know when it will hit me. It actually makes me scream. Then it’s gone.
I understand your concern. Your symptoms seem to be related to bloating. Some advice that I can give you are:
1) Use over-the-counter medications like Simethicone.
2) Avoid chewing gum.
3) Limit your intake of carbonated drinks.
4) Avoid foods that cause gas, such vegetables in the cabbage family, dried beans, and lentils.
5) Eat slowly and avoid drinking through a straw.
6) Use lactose-free dairy products.
Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other questions, Ill be glad to help.
Thank you for the query
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
