Hello,
Skull tumors are likely to be diagnosed when they grow large enough to put pressure on the brain. Your symptoms may be indicative of
acoustic neuroma, chondrosarcoma, epidermoid tumor, chordoma,
meningioma, etc. These commonly occur at the back lower compartment of the skull. Some other tumors that can be suspected are Chondroma, and Encephaloceles.
Treating skull base tumors is challenging because they can grow deep within the skull and can affect the nerves and blood vessels in the brain, head, neck and
spinal cord. Thus causing
headaches and other symptoms. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP or an
Oncologist and get required tests and investigations done.
X-ray, CT scan or MRI are done to determine the size and location of the tumor. You may be asked to do other tests like bone scan, PET, CT / PET, endoscopy, etc., to come to a diagnosis. Your treatment will depend on the diagnosis made and the severity of the symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
