What Does Painful, Inflammed Area In Mouth Oozing Pus And Blood Mean?

I had a painful inflamed area in the roof of my mouth which when I squeezed area pus and blood came out and area decreased in size. I then took a cotton swab with peroxide and clean the area. I have not had any issues with my teeth or gums and take great precautions with them and oral hygiene. I am a missionary in Honduras with limited access to medical care. Can you help me?
