What Does Painful Intercourse Suggest?

I had a vaginal hysterectomy 3 months ago with a rectocele repair. I have unbearable pain during sex that is not getting better with time since then. My doctor is trying a hormone cream which I just started, but the pain is very localized at entry and up high where the incisions must be. So bad that I can not let my husband penetrate. Doctor examined me and did not see a cause. What else could it be?

Hi I think it can be a symptom of atrophic vaginitis due to oestrogen deficiency. Oestrogen cream can help you in that. In my opinion, you can go for a scan to see if there is any cyst in ovary which is causing such pain. It can be due to this also. Hope it helps.
