What Does Parenchymal Fibrosis In Chest Xray Suggest?
hi,i am female, 41 years old, with 5 kids. i just got a x-ray Chest Adult PA result, can you give me an idea in layman's terms if i have some kind of problem and what i should do? FINDINGS: CHEST (PA) There are fibrous densities in the right paracardiac region. The pulmonary vascular patter is within normal. The cardiac shadow is not enlarged. The diaphragm, both lateral and costophrenic sulci and the bony thorax are unremarkable. IMPRESSION: Parenchymal fibrosis, right.
According to x-ray report there are fibrous densities in the right paracardiac region,it is sequel of past lung infection. Infection naturally heals by calcification and fibrosis. This condition doesn't generally require any treatment unless it compromises pulmonary functions. Findings are not serious at all.
Rest of the findings are within normal limit.Pulmonary vascular patter is within normal. Cardiac shadow is within normal limit. Diaphragm, both CP angles and bony thorax are also normal.
Hope I have answered your question. Take Care Dr.Indu Bhushan
