What Does Patchy Consolidating In The Right Lobe On A X-ray Suggest?

I had an X-ray of the chest and it showed a patchy consolidating in the right lobe that wasn t there 6 months ago. I haven t be sick no cough, chest congestion nothing. What could this be . Could it be cancer or a PE ? I m a breast cancer survivor . Thanks

Hi,

Most probably it will be an old lesion like old and healed tuberculosis. Other causes like pneumonia also be considered. Consult a pulmonologist and plan for a CT scan to get a better clinical picture.
