What Does Peeling Of Skin In Fingertips And Toes Suggest?

MY 11/2 year old son has recently had peeling skin on his fingertips and tips of toes. He has no other symptoms as far as i can tell. I ve been reading that he could have strep throat? what do you think? it s pretty bad peeling. It started on all toes and fingers at the same time.
