What Does Periovarian Fluid In Follicular Study Mean?

Hi, I just completed my follicular study, the report on the 14th day says the follicle is ruptured plus periovarian fluid. What is periovarian fluid? Will it affect pregnancy? We are planning for a baby but I m not able to conceive for about 2 years. Please suggest.

Hi, thanks for writing.. no need to worry.. Periovarian fluid means the ovulation has taken place and small amount of fluid will be present in the abdominal cavity post ovulation.. This is the ideal time to have intercourse to attain pregnancy.. Post ovulation you can take progesterone tablet for 10 days to support the pregnancy if it occurs.. hope i have answered your query.. good nite..
