What Does Piece Of Skin Below Curve Of Tongue Indicate?

Hi, over a couple of days at the back of my mouth just below the curve of my toungue is a loose piece of skin/toungue that has appeared that flaps about when I swallow and can be felt touching the back of my throat. It doesn t hurt at all but It feels like it s fairly attached to the toungue, it doesn t cause any breathing problems but is just irritating. Should I go get this checked out.

Hello read thru ur query.I must say that it must be peeling of the taste buds in back of the tongue due to some trauma(sharp foodstuffs peeling it or due to some hot foodstuffs).Nothing to be worried.Wait for few days time and it will heal of its own.Due salt water gargle(to sppedup the healing process).Have lots of citrus fruits(orange etc).Drink lots of water.Have cold stuffs.Wait for few more days and if still problem persists meet up a dentist or ent surgeon and get it treated.Hope ur benefitted something from this reply.Have a healthy day!!!
