What Does Pimple Like Skin Growth In Middle Of Perineum Indicate?
I have a pimple like skin growth in the middle of my perineum. The top is bright red and it is about half the size of a pencil eraser. It is not like a pimple in that the skin is loose and i am able to stretch it out about a centimeter. It doesn t hurt, just uncomfortable when touched. I am not sure what it is and I have never had it before. Not sure if it is going to grow or if it can be harmful. I am sexually active.

The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is furunculosis which is an infection of the hair follicle.It can be treated with topical antibacterial creams like mupirocin.You must avoid pricking or fiddling with them. A short course of oral antibiotic like azithromycin might also help. Consult your dermatologist regarding the above mentioned therapy. Regards
