What Does Polypoid Mucosal Thickining On A CT Scan Report Suggest?

Hello,please be informed that, CT of My son 11 years old, stated that polypoid mucosal thickining along with retained secretions are seen partialy opacifying, the left compart of the sphinoid sinus air/ fluid leveling ... Suggestion acute sphinoi sinusitis.

This finding is suggestive of chronic sinusitis or polyps and you should not be worried It would be still good to do MRI scan but at this oint there is no need to suspect on somehting serious. He should have antiallergic medications and inhalators if necessary.
