What Does Popping Sensation In Broken Leg Indicate?

I just recently broke my leg (distil tibia and fibula fracture towards ankel) and it has been a week and half. Im a little concerned because every time i go to sit my leg down on a cushion to elevate it i feel this popping sensation. Should I be worried?
