What Does Positive For Direct Antiglobulin Test Indicate?

Hello. I'm a 17 year old female High School Student and I recently donated blood at my high school. I got a letter in the mail saying I tested positive to this DAT test. (Direct Antoglobulin Test) This is the second time I've donated blood and I didn't have this happen the first time. What does this mean?

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Positive DAT means you might be suffering from autoimmune disorder.
2. Meet you physician to evaluate you for possible causes.
3. Possibly early stage. Meet you doctor before any hemolytic anemia happens.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
I find this answer helpful
