What Does Positive Pregnancy Test Indicate After Abortion?

Hi. Found out I was pregnant, had the abortion pill on 13th Aug (8 weeks), I did the check for HCG test the nurse gave me two weeks later, says possible termination failure. Have done 5 pregnancy tests since then and all say pregnant. The clear blue digital one says 2-3 weeks. Me and my partner have been having unprotected sex. I regret the abortion! Could I still be pregnant or have a new pregnancy now? Please help :(

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Since you are getting pregnancy tests positive despite taking abortion pills, it needs to be evaluated. This can happen if the products of conception would have been still retained caused due to incomplete abortion.
Kindly get an ultrasound pelvic scan done to know about its status. Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard for appropriate management.
