i did a recent ct scan of chest, the impression was posterior medial right lung base bronchiectasis, and additional granulomatous disease and peribronchial nodularity right middle lobe from old infection. Do i need any treatment, or how bad is this, i get s.o.b. at times, and have asthma.thanks a lot. monette.
Your lung bronchiectasis refers to permanent enlargement of small airways which might have occurred due to an earlier condition. You need to get a spirometry done if you have shortness of breath. You may not be having any infection right now but you must avoid exposure to agent that may cause asthma.
