What Does Presence Leukocyte In Blood Indicate?

sir, my 4 year son last two weeks had fever, cough and running nose. So visited the doctor. acoording to him we done bllod test and found Mantoux +ive, ESR 25mm/hr, Leukocyte 10,200cells/cmm. is this condition is serious? any caution we have to do? please advise and give me information about the condition. according to the doctor, nothing serious but immonou power is less now and chances of affecting another deceases.

I understand your health concern, if I am your doctor I suggest you that positive mantoux test is suggestive of tuberculosis and should be tested further for AFB staining. Till that time I advice you should start Anti Tuberculosis Treatment under your doctors guidance and should take follow up after the AFB testing.
