What Does Presence Of Red Blood Cells In Urine Mean?

What does microscopic red blood cells in the urine mean.? I also. HavE constant burning ,bladder leakage, and pain. I feel feverish at times but haven t checked my temp. I am taking macrobid. I have 5 days left to finish my medicine and I have an appt with my gynecologist march 8.

Hello dear
Understand your concern
I think it is due to infection in bladder: cystitis.
I will go once the infection is treated.

Following are the causes of red blood cell in urine:
UTI, Kidney disease, stone in kidney/ureter, cancer, tuberculosis infection, hypertensive nephropathy.
Blood in urine require initial evaluation if it is not serious.

You should check urine report after 14 days once antibiotic is finished.
If again positive you shold undergo following test
Ct scan of abdomen
USG
IVP,
Urine culture, microscopy,
cystoscopy to exclude the other cause.

Drink plenty of waters.
Take fruits like orange, papaya and cranberry
Tablet paracetamol 500 mg two times a day for fever
