What Does Pressure In The Right Ear Indicate?

I had a cold. I m currently getting better. I have pressure in my right ear and i can t hear clearly. It feels as if i have an earphone in with no music. There is no wax or anything in my ears. above my right eye under my eyebrow hurts to touch. I m not sure if that s related or not. It might be the corrugator muscle, not sure. i can t pop my ear because it doesn t help or do anything.

Hello,

You have pressure in the right ear which seems to be due to ear infection, wax buildup and probably due to eustachian tube dysfunction. I would suggest you consult an ENT specialist for proper examination. Go for otoscopic examination. The doctor may prescribe antibiotics like Gentamycin along with anti-inflammatory medication. Avoid inserting anything in-ear such as Q-Tip. For now, do warm saline gargles several times a day and apply dry warm compresses to the external ear.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
