What Does Pressure In The Upper Abdomen Indicate?
Been experiencing on and off pressure (not really pain) in my upper abdomen, below by ribs. Feels like a muscle is trying to tighten up, but then it releases. No other symptoms, I feel fine other than noticing this for past 4-5 days. Healthy 50 year old female. No prior issues.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to gastritis. Taking proton pump inhibitors like Esomeprazole(nexium) will be helpful. If no improvement then doing ultrasound examination to rule out gall bladder problems is well appreciated.
