What Does Pressure Under The Collar Bone Indicate?

Feels like gas pressure under collar bone when I take a deep breath. I’ve not had laparoscopic surgery recently ( I’ve had in the past and this feels similar but it’s on both sides rather than one side). I had a gastro esophageal hernia surgery 4 years ago. What could be causing this?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It could be due to something called costochondritis. As of now you can take analgesics like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac for pain. Apply topical ointments like Voveran gel for pain. If symptoms persist, get an X-ray done and consult a general practitioner.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
